Chapter 8 started out with Nick going to Gatsby's house to see if he was fine. After seeing he was okay, he went to his office. During that period Michaelis tried to comfort Wilson but Wilson only listened to his thoughts. Later Michaelis went home and Wilson set out to find a garage with the yellow car. Mr. Gatsby told the butler that he was going for a swim in the pool and if anyone called bring the phone to him. Wilson found Mr.Gatsby's house and went to the back then shot Gatsby. After killing Gatsby he then shot himself. Nick hurried to Gatsby house, there they found Gatsby dead in his pool.

After Daisy ran over Myrtle, Tom began to walk all over town looking for the yellow car that ran over his wife, at this time Gatsby was swimming in his pool. Finally he when to one of Gatsby's neighbors and they told him that Gatsby drives a yellow car so he when to Gatsby's house and shot him the he shoots himself.

Gatsby is in the process of sorting all of the issues out, and trying to calm himself, reminding himself about the way he and Daisy got together, and how they spent that portion of their life with each other. Later on, George is traumatized by the death of his wife and a couple of his friends are trying to calm him down, because he's in deep shock. Gatsby and Nick have been spending a lot of time together, it only seems like they couldn't get any closer. Nick suggests that Gatsby go take a vacation, to get away from these troubles, but all he can do is think about Daisy, and it seems like his world is full of despair, as he looks at everything in a very morbid kind of way.

Nick later returns to find Gatsby dead.
Chapter 8 is a very sad chapter, nick suggests Gatsby take a vacation to get away from all his troubles but he refuses for he is too depressed by the fact daisy refused to admit she loved only him, and holds on to a little speck of hope that she will change her mind. Eckleburgon a builboard outside of his home are actualy the eyes of God, and to seek Gods revenge he goes to Gatsbys hous wher he finds Gatsby floating on an airmatrice in his pool and shoots him in the head. Nick later returns to find Gatsby dead.
ReplyDeleteChapter 8 is a very sad chapter, nick suggests Gatsby take a vacation to get away from all his troubles but he refuses for he is too depressed by the fact daisy refused to admit she loved only him, and holds on to a little speck of hope that she will change her mind. Nick leaves to go to his office and Gatsby chooses to go relax in his pool. Wilson decides to find the yellow car that hit his wife, he searches and finds the yellow car, belonging to Gatsby and shoots him before turning the gun on himself, Nick arrives and discovers the body of Gatsby in the pool.
ReplyDeleteIt starts off with Nick talking to Gatsby and Gatsby says that he waited for Daisy but nothing happened, so Nick suggests that he take a vacation to get his mind off of things. Gatsby tells Nick how he dated Daisy and how she was the first nice girl he had ever met. After that, Nick goes to work but is too distracted and when he returns home, he goes to Gatsby's house only to find him dead in the pool.
ReplyDeleteChapter eight starts out with Nick going to Gatsby's house to check on him, and Gatsby then talks about Daisy, and talks about the times they had together. As Nick leaves Gatsby's house, he thanks hi for the breakfast goes home. Later on in the chapter, Michaelis (the Greek man who owned a shop across the road) watches Wilson carefully. Finally at the end of the Chapter, Gatsby has to kill Wilson to defend himself.

ReplyDeleteIn chapter eight Nick is trying to convince Gatsby to take a vacation to get out of town while the police are looking for his yellow car. Gatsby refuses and says he can't leave Daisy right now believeing that she still needs him even though she is not going to leave Tom. While Nict is hanging out with Gatsby trying Wilson is still in shock of his wife's death and planning to get revenge. All Wilson can think about is that yellow car he saw run over his wife. When Wilson get's the chance to get away he takes it and begins the hunt for the yellow car on foot. When he finally finds the owner of the yellow car (Gatsby) he gets his revenge by taking Gatsby's life and then his own.
nick and gatsby they were the closest two people in the book, they were like a pb&j lol they were pretty much never apart from each other. in chapter 8 nick tells gatsby to go home, nick couldnt sleep the hole night,gatsby had been up all night too. them to were talking and stuff gatsby aid that tom didnt hurt daisy, and nick tells gatsby that he should just take a vacation to get away for a little wile
ReplyDeleteNick suggest that Gatsby should just forget about Daisy and move. Gatsby declares that he loves Daisy and proves it. The wreck comes up again and Nick is determined to figure out who did it. In the meanwhile Wilson comes over to Gatsbys. Gatsby is on an air mattress floating around his pool. Wilson shoots Gatsby then himself. Nick find Gatsby floating dead in the pool, Nick often wonders what Gasbys final thoughts were.

In the middle of the story Gatsby's gardener comes and ask if Gatsby wants him to unplug his pool. Gatsby tells him no that he will get in it later and Nick leaves for work. ater Nick goes, Wilson goes to Gatsby's house and shots him in the head while hes in the pool. Then Nick comes back and find Gatsby floating dead in the pool.
